Used to describe someone that no matter how hard they try to do many things, they never seem to go right or well.
Hectic day today, as I have been working hard in the garden and the area around my village with some volunteers. Me and those people were helping to get rid of a big tree in front of my house, as it is a Thai belief that you should not have such a big tree of in front of the house. So I was thinking about this, but then again I sat back and thought twice, if I got rid of that big tree, the people who live opposite to my house would be able to see what I’m doing, in my own room!. So I’d rather keep it, for privacy sake, but also for other reasons; it provides shade in the hot weather and also helps keep dust away from the house, like nature’s own curtain!
This has inspired me to write a piece about Thai beliefs on trees and plants that you should or should not have in your house, but, as a word of caution, you must remember that although you can certainly obtain all of these things, it means nothing if you do not live a good and considerate life yourself.
